Volunteer Firefighters are becoming an endangered species, with recruiting going down substantially. So the International Association of Fire Chiefs selected JeffInHighDef to create a compelling story. Working with the North Carolina Association of Fire Chiefs, we depict the real and authentic mission and purpose of state firefighters,.
Written to invoke the pride of the Tar Heel state, this emotional message brings an authentic look at serving today.

Our creative approach began with connecting state pride to public service. From there the goal was to truly depict the inner value that comes with being a volunteer firefighter. All together wrapped in an authentic voice that captures your emotion.
Shooting took place over two days with both day and night photography. An aerial drone captured the sky images of the twilight highway accident that was constructed for this production.
All public safety personnel in the PSA were actual members of their respective agencies.
Realized Value
In it's first weeks of airing, hundreds of potential new recruits stepped forward to learn more through the PSA's call to action. That impact is just beginning as more and more attention is shining on these heroes and this new volunteer recruiting effort.
